The UNSW Global Student Life team provides a comprehensive range of support services to ensure your student experience is happy, rewarding and successful. Our staff are well experienced and here to help you throughout your studies.

Student Advisers can help you with questions and concerns you may have about living and studying in Australia. Some of the issues you might like to talk about include:

  • studying with us
  • information about programs
  • university entry requirements and how to apply
  • career guidance
  • Australian Government student visa regulations and questions about other visa matters
  • health care or financial issues
  • adjusting to Australia, the food, the climate, the people
  • personal concerns such as feeling homesick, having difficulty sleeping or feeling unwell
  • absences from class
  • referral to specialised services, including UNSW Counselling and Psychological Services and legal advice
  • counselling service or how to obtain legal advice
  • developing study skills and preparing for exams
  • support and monitoring for students under 18 years of age.

Our Accommodation Officer can help you with issues such as

  • short term or long term accommodation
  • settling into accommodation
  • getting on with flatmates and settling into homestay
  • sharing responsibilities.

Our Student Activities Officer can organise:

  • social and sporting activities
  • tours in Sydney
  • the promotion of these activities to our students.
